My wife Penny is in the emergency room at Blake hospital due to head injury. I do not know yet if her condition as she is going through many tests. She sure could use your prayers.
Please pray for a decision regarding travel. Also, please pray for strength and wisdom as I walk through a challenging season, that the Lord will be honored in my attitudes and actions.
Please pray for my cousin Doug. He is homeless and he is struggling with a very serious addiction. Please pray for his salvation, that God will deliver him from his addiction, transform him and heal his mind and life. Also, Please pray for my son, Jonathan. He is facing some potentially life changing hardships and circumstances. Please ask God to deliver him from those who want to harm him and to give him favor where he needs favor in his life.
Last weekend, a Manatee High student was shot and killed. He did not attend Young Life but many of his friends did and over the weekend and throughout this week we had several kids reach out to their Young Life Leaders in the midst of their grief.
Please be praying for our YL Leaders as they sit with kids. Please pray for our kids and the community who is hurting and for the families that lost loved ones.
May we reflect the Lord's goodness and love even in the midst of heartache and heaviness. May we point them towards hope.

Update on my sister in law’s dad. He ended up having to have 5 arteries repaired. They found evidence of a previous heart attack. He’s home but has a long road of healing.
My sister in law’s dad is having open heart surgery at 12:45 today. They have found several issues with his heart. Please pray for peace and wisdom as they go through this.
Prayer Update:
My neighbor Rick McGuire, who was in ICU at Sarasota Memorial for 40 days after many post operative complications following his quadruple bypass is now transferred to long term acute care hospital to begin long process of rehabilitation. Please keep Rick and his family covered in prayer.
Update on my friend’s condition. Surgery went well and the brain tumor was removed. There are other issues they are tracking the kidneys and hope for the best. Please continue to pray for Bill and that God’s hand be upon his healing.
Please lift up my friend, Bill Meeker, who will be undergoing surgery to remove tumor Monday. It was a late discovery for me of this cancer diagnosis so I pray that we can come together and guide the doctors hands in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
A friend from our families church & the church we grew up in was rushed to the hospital for stroke symptoms. She is about 23 years old.

We’re back at camp with over 150 high schoolers from Manatee Co. Please pray for our Young Life kids as they hear the Good News. May the Lord be gracious to draw them near. Woot!
Tomorrow we will take over 100 kids and leaders to camp. Our middle school kids will take over the sacred grounds of Southwind. We have high schoolers serving on Work Crew & as Junior Leaders. Lots Good Lifers are serving in many roles. Pray for us! Pray for our middle school friends. That they may be drawn to the Savior. Woot!
Going through a really tough season right now that feels endless. It seems like a silly request, but I am asking for prayers for my precious dog.
She had surgery this week to hopefully cure chronic infections that began this year. She made it through surgery fine, but is really struggling with recovery that will last a minimum of 2-3 weeks. I am an absolute wreck doing my best to care for her. I am struggling with severe anxiety brought on from her recovery. Thank you in advance for any and all prayers.
Grace Community Church in Lakewood Ranch has a group that was visiting Israel when the conflict began. They were able to get to Bethlehem last night and to their hotel in Jerusalem today. They are trying to find flights out of the country but will be able to go to the hotel's shelter whenever they hear the sirens.
Please pray for a safe return for this group for all those impacted by the recent violence.
10/09 Update - "Just landed in Addis Ababa Ethiopia 2 pm time. Our next flight is at 10 PM their time to Washington DC then to Tampa which will be tomorrow. Needless to say, they changed our itinerary three times. We are safe , Hallelujah! Feeling so badly for the poor Israeli people! Thank you so much for continued prayers."

After a decades long struggle with alcohol abuse, we were able to get my brother to go to a detox center.
He has also “so far” agreed to go to a 90 program next.
Please pray he maintains the courage and humility to stick with this.
Pray he knows he’s loved and not alone in this.
Pray he feels the joy of Jesus now, or least will on the other side of this process.
Please pray for Will and Leanne Scott. They are some friends of ours with a 2 month old baby, Jack Scott. Jack had a medical emergency the other day and has been in the hospital since. Please keep them in your heart.
